Dinner IN - Sauces & Dressings

Take 2 of our Dinner IN blog posts.  Last time we featured some famous scrumptious desserts.  This time we are featuring some items that are "on the side," but without them, your favorite foods would just be like any other burger.  What would the Big Mac be without its "special sauce," or the Olive Garden salad be without that delectable dressing.  Read on for a few more great recipes to amp up your everyday meals!

Olive Garden Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c Mayonnaise
  • 1/3 c White Vinegar
  • 1 ts Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Tbs Corn Syrup
  • 1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 ts Garlic Salt
  • 1/2 ts Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Parsley Flakes
  • 1 Tbs Lemon Juice

Instructions

    Combine all the ingredients in a blender until well mixed.  If this is a little too tart for your own personal taste, add a little sugar.  You can enjoy your Olive Garden salad dressing for up to 10 days if you store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.  You can also use it as a marinade for vegetables or meats.

 

Big Mac Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 c Miracle Whip
  • 1/3 c Sweet Relish
  • 1/4 c French Dressing
  • 1 T Sugar
  • 1/4 ts Black Pepper
  • 1 ts Minced Onion

Instructions

    Mix ingredients together well.  Microwave for 30 seconds and then stir again.  Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

 

Red Robin Campfire Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c Hickory Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 c Mayonnaise

Instructions

    Mix together well and serve.  If you want to add a bit of a kick, you can add a dash of chipotle chili powder.

 

Outback Steakhouse Blooming Onion Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbs Ketchup
  • 2 Tbs Horseradish sauce
  • 1/4 ts Paprika
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1/8 ts Oregano
  • Dash of Black Pepper
  • Dash of Cayenne Pepper

Instructions

    Mix together and serve as a dip with your favorite sides!
